Synopsis
During the 1970s, Anna Bella Geiger, together with a group of artists, pioneered the use of video as a language and medium. Her impact also stems from her multidisciplinary work and her political and social activism. In this audiovisual essay Geiger discusses her newly preserved videos from the 1970s. The essay is illustrated with extracts of videos from 1973 and 1974, as well as other related documents and artworks from the period. Produced with participation of the Brazilian Film and Video Preservation Project, sponsored by the Ostrovsky Family Fund.
